Bo reaches in front to pass the baton. Mae reaches behind to grab it! Behind and In Front introduces emergent readers to opposing directions in sports while providing them with a supportive first nonfiction reading experience. Carefully crafted text uses high-frequency words, repetitive sentence patterns, and strong visual references to support emergent readers, making sure they aren’t facing too many challenges at once.
Behind and In Front includes tools for teachers and caregivers as well as introductory nonfiction features such as labels, a table of contents, words to know, and an index.
Behind and In Front is part of Jump!’s Comparing Directions series.
