ReviewedDogs are the world’s most popular pet! These intelligent friends have learned to work and communicate, and they use their skills to help humans every day. This fun title explores the intelligence of dogs, from their thinking skills to their relationship with people. Leveled text and fun photos present the information in an easy-to-understand way, while a brain comparison chart, profile, skills graphic, and scientific study feature further highlight smart pups!
'There are 6 titles in this level 3 series. Geared toward more fluent readers, there is plenty of information about some commonly known animals, but that readers may not know much about. Focusing on the animals’ intelligence, even readers who are familiar with these creatures will still learn something new about chimps, crows, dogs, rats, octopuses, and dolphins! A glossary is included in each that defines related vocabulary. The inclusion of both book and web resources is appreciated. Only one specific website is given, which ensures the source is reliable and safe for readers. In this age of information overload, this set is a great resource to get readers started on a research journey, without being overwhelming for children.', Nicole Welle, K-12 Teacher Librarian, Educator Review
