Mail carriers are often seen driving down streets in small trucks or hauling full mail from door to door. This informative title for young readers delivers facts about the important work of mail carriers.
'In this series of Community Helpers, students explore the role of mail carriers in their community. Find out what mail carriers do and how they deliver mail either by walking or driving a truck. Students will also discover that mail carriers take many different routes throughout the day and deliver mail through many types of weather conditions. Vibrant photographs of mail carriers in the community throughout this text make it engaging for young readers. The presence of large text also helps guide teachable vocabulary moments throughout the read aloud, and an index is present as well for easy access.', Andrea Brown, Arlington School District
