A koala is only the size of a jelly bean when it is born. The tiny baby can’t hear or smell, so it follows its nose to the safety of its mother’s pouch. There, the joey drinks milk and grows, grows, grows. Follow along as the tiny critter makes its way in the world. From the safety of its pouch home, to the first time munching on leaves and exploring the world away from mom. Simple text paired with adorable pictures helps build reading confidence for animal-loving early readers.
