'The Animal Battles books are high interest for kids in grades 3-6. The colors and easy to handle layout of the text make the books very manageable for elementary students. Each book introduces the competitors, discusses their secret weapons, highlights their attack moves, and describes what would happen in the actual battle. Kids will find themselves choosing sides and routing for their favorite. They will not even realize all that they are learning about the two animals. The table of contents, index and glossary help the reader navigate the informative text that is filled with text features. This format is a favorite for students of all ages.
